Company History

Founded in 2022,  A. MacDonald Construction is owned and operated by Alex MacDonald. For over 13 years Alex has been building in the Peterborough area.  He has built custom homes, performed major renovations, and completed all sizes of additions. He is a fully licensed Red Seal Carpenter as well as a Licensed HCRA and Tarion Member.

Our mission

A. MacDonald Construction believes that a building company can be as good on site as they are in the office. Leaving a trail of happy, satisfied customers comes from building to the highest standard as well as managing and communicating to that standard as well.

Having spent many years working with renowned builder and business owner, Arnie Bauman of A. Bauman Construction, Alex and his team have had the privilege to see what that can look like. And now, as Arnie has moved into a consulting role, that expertise is available through A. MacDonald Construction.
